In choosing to design the exterior spaces the designer wanted to remain sympathetic to the land and its use by the occupants by using recycled materials or materials that are biodegradable. The custom metal artwork used to highlight different areas of the landscape was created from 65% recycled post consumer steel while the faux rocks that cover the septic and well heads in the gardens will biodegrade when no longer needed. The granite top was installed on the bar in the exterior cabana building to highlight the new gel stain colour. The overall concept was to show the emotional connection with the property and lakeside life.
